(Sold Out) Meet the Hula Honeys As members of Hawaii’s last “Territorial Generation” Hula Honeys Robyn Kneubuhl and Ginger Johnson have fond memories of Boat Day, when passenger liners from around the world made landfall in Honolulu, greeted by outrigger canoes, flower lei and the enchanting harmonies of Hawaiian music. They didn't know it at the time, but the images and rhythms of territorial Hawaii- the sights, sounds and sensations of island tourism’s golden age- would percolate into their souls and reemerge decades later in the creation of the Hula Honeys. Sweet, sassy and sophisticated, their sound weds pre-statehood Hawaiian party music with hip jazz chords and subtly intricate harmonies. The results are unique, heartfelt and irresistible.
